Early this morning the NWS and JTWC has put the island into a tropical storm watch. Damaging winds are to be expected within the next 48 hours. The center of the system is currently located 315 miles south east of Guam and is moving towards the island at 16mph. Current models track the storm directly over Guam Saturday around noon; if conditions and tracking continue. This will be the second storm for the island in a week.
As a result, Governor Calvo has placed the island in Condition of Readiness 3.
